Honestly I agree and disagree with you,,, I agree that we should not close the book on our careers but I disagree that even if our cildren left us and continue their life still you will feel your success in raising these great kids that one day you tried so hard to balance work and them.
This is why work from home should be supported and discussed more in Jordan .

Very logical solution to a real dilemma. My solution was not to have kids at all, but many women would have trouble finding a partner who would agree to that.
It's true such jobs are rare in Jordan. We haven't reached the point where you can browse prices and inventory online let alone work entirely online.
I know some women who work at home (without the online part) through selling home-cooked food, or sewing clothes and such. Sure it's old-fashioned, but is that necessarily bad?
I keep hearing on the radio about a fund dedicated to women who want to start a business. I wonder if they would consider work at home projects worthy of their money!

This is a really important subject, thanks for bringing it up. I don't think women should quit pursuing their dreams to raise their kids, these same kids will leave them one day to school and college and work, and they will be left behind with no careers!
In Jordan people do not support working moms much. In the private sector only 13% or so are female, as employers refrain from hiring women so they won't have to take maternity leaves and whatnot.
It's absurd when you come think of it. Because there is always this demand of the woman to be perfect and to do and to give, while in return she does not enjoy support from society and nor does she have her full rights equally with man.
