Lord Levy : The 'Jewish money man'

British Jews says that the Labour Party's chief fundraiser Lord Michael Levy is being targeted because he is a prominent Jew.
The editor of the Jewish Chronicle accused unnamed figures in Downing Street of being happy to see the deliberate scapegoating of the "Jewish money man".
The Jewish Board of Deputies said the Labour peer was being undermined in the cash-for-honours affair by anti-Semitic forces.
The police investigation into allegations that honours were being sold was launched last year. He has been arrested twice in the year-long police investigations into whether there was an attempt to "sell" honours in return for secret loans to the Labour Party, and whether some of Blair's staff in Downing Street have tried to cover this up, thereby perverting the course of justice.
The police investigation has been going on for a year, with more than 90 people, including Mr Blair, being interviewed. All deny any wrongdoing.
Downing Street has tried desperately in recent days to reassure Lord Levy he is not being made a scapegoat as the year-long police inquiry draws to a close.
