Iran president says Israel's days are numbered

munaeem | 12 December, 2006 19:27

Iranian President predicts :

"Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime soon be wiped out."

Ahmadinejad, who has sparked international outcry by eferring to the killing of six million Jews in World War Twoas a "myth" and calling for Israel to be "wiped off the map,"aunched another verbal attack on the Jewish state.

It is unfortunate , Muslim leaders engage themselves in vain activities. They should pay attention to improve the lives of their people.

Ahmadinejad made many promises to the Iranian people in his election compaign. He should try to fulfill those promises.

It was expected that lives of the Iranian people will improve after the  revolution. But it is said to say, it only increased the agonies of the Iranian people. Mullahs of Iran has proved to be ruthless rulers.

Sunni Clerics call on Sunni Muslims to Support their brethern

munaeem | 12 December, 2006 16:54

Via Scotsman.com News:

Ben Feller reports from Washington:

"More than 30 prominent Islamic clerics from Saudi Arabia yesterday called on Sunni Muslims around the Middle East to support their brethren in Iraq against Shiites and praised Sunni militants"

The group of Saudi clerics claimed that Shiite Muslims were taking control of Iraq in a conspiracy with "crusaders" in an attempt to marginalise Sunni Muslims.

They also praised Iraq's Sunni insurgency, saying that jihad, or holy war, "is one of the most important tenets of religion, and what has been taken by force can only be regained by force".

This development shows that if the Bush Administration do not change its adamantine rigidity, there would be great upheavals in the coming days.

Mr. Bush talks about democratic  values  a lot. We see that he refuses to include Sunnis in Iraq in the political process. Is that not contrary to democratic norms and practices?

How can he bring calm in  Iraq by ignoring the Sunnis of Iraq?

This call by Saudis clerics should be taken seriously. Because it would cause more deaths and destruction.

Shiites should also come to senses. They have caused enough mischiefs. Since 1979, they have been interfering and destabilizing Sunni dominated Muslim countries in the guise of helping their co-religionists.

Is this justified?

Via ynetnews.com,  IDF Soldiers executed three Palestinians:
B'Tselem human rights organization demands IDF investigate claims that soldiers executed three Palestinian gunmen injured in exchanges of fire in village of Yamoun.

Israeli leaders  should take notice of the changing regional situations. Their brutal actions have created powerful adversaries.

Traditional Sunni leaders dared  not to supply Palestinians with arms and ammunitions. Now the situations has changed. Palestinians have supporter ,who can supply them anything, they want.

If they behave like this. Soon or later they will get equal response from Palestinians.

So its is time, they should give negotiation a chance, and give the Palestinians their due rights , in accordance with the UN Resolutions 181.

Look! what have done you in Iraq?

munaeem | 12 December, 2006 16:50

According to the Integrated Regional Information Networks, which is the UN's humanitarian news and information service:

"Up to half of the national population is currently unemployed in Iraq, where women represent almost 60 percent of the total populace.

" In 2005, Iraq's Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs estimated a 48-percent unemployment rate.

Iraq's inflation rate has soared to nearly 70 percent, according to the country's planning minister, Ali Baban.

Could Iran be helpful to US?

munaeem | 12 December, 2006 16:48

Does Iran have the strength, money and capability to prevent the situation in its neighbor from escalating into a war, given the developments in Lebanon and nd the Palestinian-Israeli conflict?

So if the U.S. leaves, Iran may be left to face not only all potential problems in the region alone, but an anti-Iranian coalition as well.

How can Iranian claim to bring the situations in Iraq , When the U.S. , which has so much resources at his disposal ,could not suppress the insurgency?

Iranians interference will escalate the Shiite-Sunni hatred, and will create an unstoppable Shiite-Sunni upheaval in the Muslim world.

Iraq : Sunnis should be included in the politcal process

munaeem | 12 December, 2006 11:38

Georg Mascolo and Bernhard Zand write in their article "Bush Capitulates to Reality in the Middle East" in the Spiegel Online :

The US deliberations about a change in course in Iraq come just as US Ambassador in Baghdad Zalmay Khalilzad ends his duties there. Khalilzad -- who is being considered as a replacement for John Bolton as America's UN Ambassador -- had long pleaded for the inclusion of the Sunnis in the political process, in the hopes that this would defuse the terrorist core of Sunni resistance.

In my opinion , if Mr. Bush had listened to Mr. Zalmay's advise than things would have been different. It is quite evident now that Mr. Bush and his hawks had some ulterior agenda of their own. If Mr. Bush did pay heed to his ambassador's advice, it is unlikely that he would consider ISG's recommendations.

Number of Jewish senators rises from 11 t o13 and number of Jewish representatives jumps to 30 thanks to six new faces creating all-time high of Jewish politicians in Congress. Another precedent: First Muslim elected to House.

Israel possesses Nuclear Bombs

munaeem | 12 December, 2006 04:17

The Israeli prime minister, Ehud Olmert, stumbled into controversy last night after apparently admitting that his country possesses a nuclear arsenal. Although widely believed to be the only nuclear power in the Middle East, Israel has for decades refused to confirm or deny the existence of a nuclear weapons programme.

Asked by a television interviewer if Israel's alleged nuclear activities weakened his argument against Iran's atomic plans, Mr Olmert said: "Iran, openly, explicitly and publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map. Can you say that this is the same level - when they are aspiring to have nuclear weapons - as America, France, Israel, Russia?".

Israel has a strict policy of never admitting to or denying it has such weapons, despite a widespread belief that it has hundreds of them at the ready.
