Israel is a mistake.

Considering the disaster Bush Jr has unleashed in the Middle East,
the takeover of the world's oil suppply by right wing Islamic
theocracies armed with nuclear weapons.

It's hard to see Israel surviving.

Egypt and Saudi/Kuwait will likely go right wing Islamic
fundamentalist soon and the population, money and power applied to
Israel would seem unstoppable.

Yes...Israeli's could go out in a blaze of nuclear glory taking
Cairo, Baghdad, Damascus, Mecca and Tehran with them (along with
world's oil infrastructure) but who wants to see 50 million dead and
the world in an economic depression.

It might be time to consider dismantling Isreal. Accept as Richard
Cohen of Washington Post noted that it was a terrible historical
mistake, well intentioned but a mistake.

The
greatest mistake Israel could make at the moment is to forget that
Israel itself is a mistake. It is an honest mistake, a well-intentioned
mistake, a mistake for which no one is culpable, but the idea of
creating a nation of European Jews in an area of Arab Muslims (and some
Christians) has produced a century of warfare and terrorism of the sort
we are seeing now.

The oil producers buy out the Israelis for all the build out
($1T?...$250K for every, man, woman and child) and the US gives all
Israelis US citizenship and Palestinians get their land back.
