Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lambasted President George W. Bush's Middle East strategy  in an open letter addressed to the American people on Wednesday . He called on Washington to pull out of Iraq and recognize a Palestinian state, and end its support for Israel. He said to the American people ," You know well that the U.S. administration has persistently provided blind and blanket support to the Zionist regime, has emboldened it to continue its crimes, and has prevented the U.N. Security Council from condemning it."

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's letter to "Noble Americans," which was distributed by Iran's mission to the United Nations, also accused Bush of governing by "coercion, force and injustice."

Iranians pose as if they care about Palestinian people and their cause. On the contrary they have proved to be a source of sorrow and bitterness to the Palestinian people. It is a hard fact that they are supplying arms and funds to Palestinian militant groups. The adventursim of these militant groups are causing death and destruction.

Thy friendship oft has made my heart to ache:-
Do be my enemy, for friendship's sake.
                                                       William Blake, To Haylay

The Palestinians are the most foreign-aid dependent society on the earth. If we look at the aid sources for the PA in 2005, we do not find Iranians in the list. T
he European Union gave $105 million. Saudi Arabia gave $76 million, the US $20 million, and so on down through Libya, Britain, Norway, Japan, Canada, and Egypt.

We can see that Iranians are using militants for their own ulterior purpose. Ahmadinejad had stated clearly his vision for the future of the region in his election campaign: “The Middle East can have either an American future or an Islamic one led by Iran.”

Palestians can see for themselves who are their friend.
