great PHP book
hey people :)
heres a link to a great PHP book for all of you who wanna teach him/her self PHP, the writer of the book is assuming that you have no idea about PHP and starts from the very basics until reaching a very advanced topics, ENJOY

First of all, this is an open source community where people from ALL AROUND THE WORLD are playing a rule in it, secondly, if it was because Andi Gutmans and Zeev Suraski was Jewish then "according to your rules" we should stop learning physics, math ... etc because a great part of these sciences has been developed by a Jewish people "i doubt that you can live without Newton's Laws" , thirdly, you think that i will stop using PHP because its an "israeli product!" then you better stop drinking pepsi and cokacola, ohh, by the way, PHP's original creator is rasmus lerdorf and he is originally from Denmark, have a nice day :)

I agree 100% with Ma'moon. For god's sake stop being so narrow minded. PHP is an open source software, which means that evrybody owns it and everybody has the right to use it and develop it.

dude, ruby on rails is a frame work and PHP is a whole programming language, i think that you meant something like "forget PHP and go with ruby" if that was you intention then why people didn't have a focus on it since it has been born before PHP?!, there is a lot of reason why PHP not ruby and in terms of frameworks then there is a lot of pre-implemented PHP frameworks like zend framework, Cake, symphony ... and a lot of more, there is so many reason why PHP is better than ruby and even than rails it self but you just have to dig for it, i am not saying that rails is bad, no and no at all, actually i believe that its going to have a great share but at least not in the near future because it must compete with a very well known programming languages such java and PHP and i think that its kind hard for it to do so at least currently!
