The latest news, HP in the global recall of about 70,000 laptop batteries, these batteries are potential safety problems exist, may be overheated and caused fires burn consumers. Affected users may post in the detection of a free replacement battery. Hewlett-Packard announced that China will provide free replacement services, and has announced initiatives to implement a battery recall and replacement program involving some of the battery pack is equipped with the HP notebook computers (see specific product range in Dell C1295 battery ), the existence of these batteries overheating as a result of the fire and burn risk of consumers, it is proposed to remove the battery immediately for a new battery.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and/or other safety regulatory authorities, HP announced voluntary recalls and replacement programs for some of the hp 441425-001 battery packs used in certain HP notebooks. HP customers affected by these programs will be eligible to receive a replacement battery pack for each verified, recalled battery pack at no cost.

Getting Started
If your notebook is listed on this program website, determine whether this recall program affects your battery by following these steps:
1. Print a copy of these steps for your reference which will assist you in collecting the relevant information to determine if you are part of this program.
2. Save and close all open programs. Shut down your notebook.
3. Remove any external power source.
4. Remove the battery from the notebook.

HP and the battery cell manufacturers believe that certain battery packs shipped in some notebook PC products may pose a potential safety hazard to customers. The batteries can overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard.
We are taking this action as part of our commitment to provide the highest quality of service to our notebook customers. We are proactively notifying you of this issue and are prepared to replace all verified, affected battery packs.
