Material
The slide’s material should be fire resistant and have a weight of 22 oz when finished. While the 22 oz weight is fairly as it is ideal for functionality, the quality and treatment of the material are most important when making quality comparisons.
Seam Stitching
Because the seams are the weakest point of any fabric, the quality of stitching is often the critical factor in the lifetime of the slide. Industry standards require that seams be double at the very least. By doing some research online you can find manufacturers who adhere to their own quality standards of triple or quadruple stitching stress point seams.
Tongue Tear
Tongue tear is a numerical value based on the amount of force applied before a fabric tears. The industry standard for tongue tear on inflatable slides and equipment is 300/350 lbs. Some manufactures set their standards for tongue tear as high as 624/623 lbs drastically lowers the chances of the material ripping.
Child Safety and Inflatable Slides
When it comes to climbing an inflatable slide, there should be some sort of reinforced base, such as foam coated PVC steps, to ensure a child’s safety. Additionally, rope arm rails or other material added specifically to help the child climb the slide stairs is essential for safety.
Warranty
When making an investment in an inflatable slide, it’s important to review every part of the warranty. Contact manufacturers before making a decision and ask for a copy of their warranties to review and compare. Industry standards only require that companies provide a one-year warranty. By looking carefully, you can find manufactures with warranties double the standard in length and coverage.
Maintenance
While a company must provide a maintenance kit with their products, some companies go beyond by including preventative maintenance products. Items such as tarps and securing stakes prevent the inflatable slide from becoming by weather or toppling over from wind or use, thus reducing the need for repair and maintenance.
Customer Service and Care
If you are purchasing an inflatable slide as a business investment, you’ll need all the expert help you can get when it comes to promoting and protecting your investment. Look for a company that cares about your success with little extras such as a business card holder sewn on to the unit or pre-made rental contracts that include important verbiage about liabilities. Before selecting a company, make sure they have a phone number that is easily visible on their website. Try calling the customer service line to get a feel for their customer service department.
Making a purchase that promotes fun and silliness should be a positive experience. By keeping these few quality guidelines in mind, you will ensure a long and profitable life for your inflatable slide and other inflatable equipment.

The weather is bitter, snowy in Western Canada and bitter, and icy in Eastern Canada and the US, but I have to tell you it is a balmy 40+ Fare where I am sitting in the middle. The snow has mostly disappeared revealing a landscape yard of Golden poop. Yes, that is how I spent my morning recess — mucking Golden poop. Ugh.
Every time I pass Alien Tree, I blink a few more ornaments on it. It is a tree in progress. I hope that I can type The End on that tree soon, because the deadline is looming. I mean Looming.
No longer is the purview of car dealerships and chicken palaces, our street having the incredible, inflatable Christmas this year. Is this happening to you, too? There are inflatable Christmas tableaux on every other lawn. During the day, they look like Christmas shadows, all flat and crumpled. However, at night, they magically spring to life, and we have merry little trees, Santa, Santa and his reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, giant ornaments with Santa and his reindeer inside… However, my favorite, easily, went up yesterday — Referee Santa standing between two hockey players. I love this land. Our commitment to hockey is fierce. See Ellen laughing.
Sven is busy writing Christmas cards. I know this, because he has not noticed that I am over here bogging with you and not bench pressing my word count.
Oswald made his first comic book appearance in 1935, when DC Comics featured him in the series New Fun (later More Fun). His adventures, drawn by Al Stahl, were serialized one page to an issue for the magazine's first year, after which they ceased. The original black-furred version of Oswald was featured, even though Oswald was by this time a white rabbit on screen.
Oswald’s second run in the comics began in 1942, when a new Oswald feature was initiated in Dell Comics' New Funnies, this time modeled after the latest cartoon version of Oswald and influenced by the drawing style of other Lantz comic book characters at the time. Following the typical development seen in most new comics, the New Funnies stories slowly morphed the bouncy character in their own direction.
At the start of the New Funnies feature, Oswald existed in a milieu reminiscent of Winnie the Pooh: he was portrayed as a live stuffed animal, living in a forest together with other anthropomorphized toys. These included Toby Bear, Maggie Lou the wooden doll, Hi-Yah Wahoo the turtle-faced Indian, and Woody Woodpecker ― depicted as a mechanical doll filled with nuts and bolts (hence his “nutty” behavior). In 1944, with the addition of writer John Stanley, the stuffed animal motif was dropped, as were Maggie Lou, Woody, and Wahoo. Oswald and Toby became flesh and blood characters living as roommates in “Lantzville.” Initially drawn by Dan Gormley, the series was later drawn by the likes of Dan Noonan and Lloyd White.
In 1948, Toby adopted two orphan rabbits for Oswald to rise. Floyd and Lloyd, “Poppa Oswald’s” new sons, stuck around; Toby was relegated to the sidelines, disappearing for good in 1953. Later stories focused on Oswald adventuring with his sons, seeking odd jobs, or simply protecting the boys from the likes of rabbit-eating Reddy Fox and (from 1961) con man Gabby Gator ― a character adapted from contemporary Woody Woodpecker cartoon shorts. This era of Oswald comics typically featured the art of Jack Bradbury, known also for his Mickey Mouse work.
Post-1960s Oswald comics tended to be produced outside the United States, for example in Mexico and Italy. Through the end of the 20th century, the foreign comics carried on the look and story style of the Dell Oswald stories. More recently, they featured a “retro” attempt at recreating the original Disney Oswald.
Inflatable structures are structures made of a flexible outer membrane or fabric that is filled with air or helium inside. These fluids have the purpose of giving the shape and strength of the structure regardless of external atmospheric or use conditions. The structural behavior of the inflatable structure depends on the strength of the external membrane. The final use, shape and the size of the structure depend on the specific design and requirements that their end users determine.
Nowadays, inflatable structures and inflatable buildings are used in many ways. Membrane roofs and covers, inflatable castles and games, sails, airships, inflatable furniture, airspace structures, Inflatable boats, inflatable escape slides, security mattresses, inflatable swimming pools, inflatable coverings, inflatable pavilions for events, inflatable buildings and pavilions, air bags and many other applications. The great technology and applicability of inflatable structures is the result of the increasing use and experience in different industries and sectors.
History
The inflatable structure was designed in 1959 by John Scurlock who was experimenting with inflatable covers for tennis courts when he noticed his employees enjoyed jumping on the covers. He started the Space Walk Company to market them for children and called them Space Walks. He started out with a large air mattress and in 1967 added walls. Inflatable structures were also designed by university students in England around 1961 for a fundraising event.
Construction
The surfaces are typically composed of thick, strong PVC or vinyl and nylon, and the castle is inflated using an electric or petrol-powered blower. The principle is one of constant leakage, meaning small punctures are not a problem - a medium-size "bouncy castle" requires a fan with a mechanical output of about two horsepower (consuming around 2 kW electrical powers, allowing for the efficiency of the motor).
UK and Australian bouncy castles have specifications calling for fully inflated walls on 3 sides with an open front and foam "crash mats" to catch children who may jump or fall out of the structure.
Modern moonwalks in the US are typically supported by inflatable columns and enclosed with netting. The netting allows for supervision as adults can see in from all sides. Only two states, Cheaper inflatable structures are usually made of polyester rather than nylon PVC and do not use a blower, instead they are inflated with a pump similar to an airbed. They do not last as long and it is illegal in the UK and USA to hire these out.
Another type of home-use inflatable has evolved, with a blower pumping in air continuously. Pores in the seams and material allow air to escape as kids’ play, while the blower continues to inflate the unit. This category has emerged as a response to parents who wish to buy an inflatable for home-use.
A balloon is a flexible bag filled with a type of gas, such as helium, hydrogen, nitrous oxide or air. Modern balloons can be made from materials such as rubber, latex, polychloroprene, or a nylon fabric, while some early balloons were sometimes made of dried animal bladders. Some balloons are purely decorative, while others are used for specific purposes such as meteorology, medical treatment, military defense, or transportation. A balloon's properties, including its low density and relatively low cost, have led to a wide range of applications.
"Indians of Central and South America made balls of leather much as we make balloons today" (Reader's Digest). In 1643 Evangelista Torricelli, an Italian physicist, showed air was something more than nothing. The Chinese, Japanese and Native American cultures led to beginning of the balloon.
Decoration or entertainment
Party balloons are mostly made of natural latex tapped from rubber trees, and can be filled with air, helium, water, or any other suitable liquid or gas. The rubber's elasticity makes the volume adjustable.
Filling the balloon with air can be done with the mouth, a manual or electric inflatable (such as a hand pump), or with a source of compressed gas.
Professional balloon party decorators use electronic equipment to enable the exact amount of helium to fill the balloon. For non-floating balloons air inflators are used. Professional quality balloons are used, which differ from most retail packet balloons by being larger in size and made from 100% biodegradable latex.
Balloon modeling and balloons in art
Balloon artists are entertainers who twist and tie inflated tubular balloons into sculptures (see balloon animal). The balloons used for balloon sculpture are made of extra-stretchy rubber so that they can be twisted and tied without bursting. Since the pressure required to inflate a balloon is inversely proportional to the diameter of the balloon, these tiny tubular balloons are extremely hard to inflate initially. A pump is usually used to inflatable balloons.
Decorators may use hundreds of helium balloons to create balloon sculptures. Usually the round shape of the balloon restricts these to simple arches or walls, but on occasion more ambitious "sculptures" have been attempted. It is also common to use balloons as table’s decorations for celebratory events. Table decorations normally appear with 3 or 5 balloons on each bouquet. Ribbon is curled and added with a weight to keep the balloons from floating away.
Have you ever seen those commercials that tell you how much better you could be sleeping if you only had an adjustable air bed? Many people are of the belief that they are no better than the adjustable air mattresses that people use when going on camping trips, or have the kids sleep on when company comes over for the weekend. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The adjustable air bed that I am talking about is state of the art compared to the ones that you are thinking of. They are made from 24-gauge rubber that has been heat bonded at the seams, which gives the air chambers exceptional strength. These air chambers are extremely puncture resistant, and they are tested to withstand 1,000 pounds of pressure, which I can guarantee you the average air mattress will not withstand.
These adjustable air mattresses will feature an I-beam baffled design that will allow the air chamber to adjust to fit a sleeper’s body in a way that creates better and more natural spinal alignment. This design also provides the mattress with superior durability and strength. The warranty on these beds is 20 years, so you can rest assured that the manufacturer has built these mattresses to last.
Plus, the adjustable air bed encases these air chambers with sturdy support foam, and then there is a foam comfort support pad to offer greater comfort to you. It offers the chambers more than adequate protection. This memory foam comfort pad ranges from two to three inches thick, which guarantees that nothing damaging will be able to reach your air chambers.
These adjustable air mattresses are also covered by a premium grade mattress cover. The beds are of the highest quality possible, and people from all over are saying that these beds are possibly the best investment that they have ever made.
Rescue aids - There is a hierarchy of rescue techniques to be used by lifeguards, in order, which minimizes danger to the lifeguard and maximizes the effectiveness of a rescue, and this dictates the types of rescue aids that a lifeguard should have available. Not all techniques or equipment will be available to all lifeguards, but all lifeguards should have some equipment to aid rescues.
Reach - The first choice for any lifeguard should be to reach the victim from a position of safety, such as the side of a pool or the beach, using an aid such as a pole or rope. This allows them to stay safe throughout the rescue whilst keeping constant contact with the victim.
Throw - If it is not possible to reach a victim and maintain contact, then the next best method is to throw a floatation aid to them, such as a lifebuoy (also known as a Perry buoy) and encourage them to use it to swim to safety. This is most appropriate in a swimming pool and has only limited application outdoors, such as throwing a ring from a pier.
Wade - If neither of those techniques is possible, then a lifeguard should consider wading to a victim, staying standing upright in the water. This will only work in shallow water, so has limited application, but keeps the lifeguard more stable and safer.
Row - Using a personal watercraft to reach the victim, which could include paddle craft such as a surf ski, kayak or row boat, a hand paddled craft such as a long surfboard or in modern times a Jet Ski or an inflatable boat?
Swim with an aid - Only if none of these options are available should a lifeguard consider swimming to rescue a victim, as it creates additional danger for both lifeguard and victim. Aids suitable for this include the well known torpedo tube, which is a hard plastic float towed on a rope attached to the lifeguard, or the soft equivalent, the rescue or 'Peterson' tube, which is flexible and is generally preferred nowadays as it can be clipped around an unconscious or uncooperative victim. Other aids can include a rescue reel which is a rope attaching the lifeguard to a reel on the shore from where he can be pulled back by colleagues either with the victim or if the lifeguard gets in to difficulty. Swim without an aid - Only as an absolute last resort should a lifeguard attempt a rescue with no equipment.
Lifeboat survival kits
Lifeboat survival kits are stowed in inflatable or rigid lifeboats or life rafts; the contents of these kits are mandated by coast guard or maritime regulations. These kits provide basic survival tools and supplies to enable passengers to survive until they are rescued. In addition to relying on lifeboat survival kits, many mariners will assemble a "ditch bag" or "abandon ship bag" containing additional survival supplies.
Vehicle kits
Another level in some preparedness plans are Vehicle Kits. In some cases, supplies and equipment may be loaded into vehicle such as a van or truck with bicycle racks and an extra “reserve” gas tank. Some survivalists also carry a small (e.g., 250 cc) off-road-capable motorcycle in the van or truck.
Food supplies in the bug-out vehicle include hundreds of pounds of wheat, rice, and beans, and enough honey, powdered milk, canned goods, bottled fruit, vitamins, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, salt, pepper, spices, and oil for several months. In addition, the kits often contain high-calorie energy bars, a cooking kit, utensils, liquid soap, and towels. The water supplies may include bottled water, filtering kit, bottles, collapsible water containers, and chlorine bleach for water purification. Food preparation and washing equipment may include items such as a grain grinder, a bread mixer, a strainer, a manual can opener, a steam canner with canning jars and O-rings, cutlery, knives, an electric 12-volt cooler icebox, kerosene lamps and heaters, kerosene or propane stoves, extra fuel, a clothes wringer, a foot-operated treadle sewing machine, and an electric hot plate.
The medical supplies may include a blood pressure gauge, stethoscope, scissors, tweezers, forceps, disposable scalpels, two thermometers (oral and rectal), inflatable splints, bandages, sutures, adhesive tape, gauze, burn ointment, antibiotic ointment, aspirin, rubbing alcohol, ipecac syrup, sterile water, cotton rags, soap, and cotton swabs. The transportation items may include bicycles with off-road tires, emergency tools and spare auto parts (e.g., fuses, fan belts, light bulbs, head light, tire pump, etc.), and an inflatable raft with paddles.
A lifeboat is a small watercraft carried on a ship to provide a means of emergency evacuation in the event of a disaster aboard the ship. Lifeboats may be rigid or inflatable vessels; the inflatable type is sometimes referred to as liferafts. In the military, a lifeboat may be referred to as a whaleboat, dinghy, or gig. The ship's tenders of modern cruise ships are often designed to double as lifeboats and "lifeboat drills" are a part of the cruise experience.
Inflatable lifeboats may be equipped with auto-inflation (carbon dioxide or nitrogen) canisters or mechanical pumps. A quick release and pressure release mechanism is fitted on board ships so that the canister or pump automatically inflates the lifeboat, and the lifeboat breaks free of the sinking vessel. Commercial aircraft are also required to carry auto-inflating life rafts in case of an emergency water landing, and are also kept on offshore platforms.
Ship-launched lifeboats are designed to be lowered from davits on a ship's deck, and are unsinkable, with buoyancy that cannot be damaged. The cover serves as protection from sun, wind and rain, can be used to collect rainwater, and is normally made of a reflective or fluorescent material that is highly-visible. Lifeboats are usually equipped with flares and/ or mirrors for signaling, several days' worth of food and water, basic first aid supplies and oars. Some lifeboats are even more capably equipped to permit self-rescue; containing such supplies as a radio, an engine and/ or sail, heater, basic navigational equipment, solar water stills, rainwater catchments and fishing equipment.
An inflatable life raft
The International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the International Life-Saving Appliance Code (LSA) require a specific list of emergency equipment to be carried on each lifeboat and liferaft used on international voyages. Modern lifeboats should also carry an Emergency Position-Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) and either a radar reflector or Search and Rescue Transponder (SART). In the United States, the US Coast Guard is responsible for making sure that the proper type and number of lifeboats is available and kept in good repair on any large ship.
A collapsible lifeboat is carrying passengers from the sunken RMS Titanic. Origins This article is incomplete, and may require expansion or cleanup. Please help to improve the article, or discuss the issue on the talk page.
By the turn of the 20th century larger ships meant more people could travel, but safety rules in regard with lifeboats stayed out of date- for example, British legislation concerning the number of lifeboats was based on the tonnage of a vessel and only encompassed vessels of '10,000 gross tons and over'. It was after the sinking of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912, that a movement began to require a sufficient number of lifeboats on passenger ships for all people on board. The Titanic, with a gross tonnage of 46,000 tones and carrying 20 lifeboats, met and exceeded the regulations laid down by the Board of Trade, which required a ship of her size (i.e. over 10,000 tons) to carry boats capable of carrying a total of 1,060 people. The Titanic's boats had a capacity of 1,178 people on a ship capable of carrying 3,330 people.
The need for so many more lifeboats on the decks of passenger ships after 1912 led to the use of most of the deck space available even on the large ships, creating the problem of restricted passageways. This was resolved by the introduction of collapsible lifeboats, a number of which (Berthon Boats) had been carried on the Titanic.
An inflatable is an object that can be inflated with a gas, usually with air, but hydrogen, helium and nitrogen are also used. One of several advantages of an inflatable is that it can be stored in a small space when not inflated, since inflatables depend on the presence of a gas to maintain their size and shape. Function fulfillment per mass used compared with non-inflatable strategies is a key advantage. Stadium cushions, impact guards, vehicle wheel inner tubes, and emergency air bags employ the inflatable principle. Inflation occurs through several strategies: pumps, ram-air, billowing, and suction.
Examples
Typical examples of an inflatable include the inflatable boat, the inflatable balloon, the inflatable airship, inflatable furniture, kites, and numerous air-filled swimming pool toys. Air beams as structural elements are finding increasing applications. Balloons are inflatables.
Smaller-scale inflatables (such as pool toys) generally consist of one or more "air chambers", which are hollow enclosures bound by a soft and flexible airtight material (such as vinyl), which a gas can enter into or leave from through valves (usually one on each air chamber). The design dependence upon an enclosed pocket of gas leads to a need for a very durable surface material and/or ease of repair of tears and holes on the material, since a puncture or tear will result in the escape of the gas inside (a leak) and the deflation of the inflatable, which depends on the gas's pressure to hold its form. Detectable leaks can be caused by holes (from punctures or tears) on the material, the separating of seams, the separating of valve parts, or an improperly shut or improperly closing valve. Even if an inflatable possesses no macroscopic leaks, the gas inside will usually diffuse out of the inflatable, albeit at a much slower rate, until equilibrium is reached with the pressure outside the inflatable.
Many inflatables are made of material that does not stretch upon inflation; a notable exception of this is the balloon, whose rubber stretches greatly when inflated.
The airship is usually inflated with helium as it is lighter than air and does not burn unlike hydrogen airships such as the Hindenburg.
Inflatables are also used for the construction of specific sports pitches, military quick-assembly tents, camping tent air beams, and noise makers. Inflatable aircraft including the Goodyear Inflatoplane have been used. Inflation by dynamic ram-air is providing wings for hang gliding and paragliding.
Inflatables came very much into the public eye as architectural and domestic object when synthetic materials became commonplace.2. Iconic structures like the US Pavilion at the 1970 Osaka Expo by Davis and Brody 3 and Victor Lundy's travelling pavilion for the Atomic Energy Commission popularized the idea that inflatables can be a way to build large structures with much extended interior spans without pillars. These great hopes for inflatable structures would later be dashed by the many practical difficulties faced by inflatable buildings, such as climatization, safety, sensitivity to wind and fire proofing that, currently, restrict their use to very specific circumstances.
The DVD Ant Farm has directions for making your own inflatables, using plastic bags and an iron. The low technological barrier to building inflatables is further lowered by DIY instruction sets like the Inflate cookbook.
A patent was granted in Australia in 2001 for a "Manually portable and inflatable automobile" (Australian Patent Number 2001100029), however no known practical form of this type of inflatable has yet been commercialized.
Large scale low-pressure inflatables are often seen at festivals as decorations or inflatable games. These are made out of rip stop nylon and have a constant flow of air from a blower inflating them.
In some cases, an inflatable roof is added to an otherwise traditional structure: the biggest example in the world is currently the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia. Another example can be found in the Roman amphitheater of Names.
High-pressure vs. low-pressure
A distinction is made between high-pressure and low-pressure inflatables. In a high-pressure inflatable, structural limbs like pillars and arches are built out of a tough, flexible material and then inflated at a relatively high pressure. These limbs hold up passive membranes. The space where the visitors or inhabitants stay is at normal atmospheric pressure. For example, airplane emergency rafts are high-pressure inflatable structures. Low-pressure inflatables, on the other hand, are slightly pressurized environments completely held up by internal pressure. In other words, the visitors or inhabitants experience a slightly higher than normal pressure. Low-pressure inflatables are usually built of lighter materials. Both types of inflatables (the low-pressure type more so) are somewhat susceptible to high winds. A recent inflatable, built for architectural and design experimentation, is the CICCIO module.
They can be the perfect antidote for a hot summer day: supersize inflatable pools, big enough for adults to swim in or even play water volleyball. They’re cheap - just a couple hundred dollars for a pool that's 12 feet in diameter, or $500 for a 12-by-20 pool that's 4 feet deep. And they're relatively easy to set up, taking less than an hour to get ready for water. No wonder such retailers as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Target and Toys R Us have loaded their shelves with them.
But a growing number of safety experts say consumers are not factoring in the cost of keeping those grown-up kiddie pools safe. These soft-sided watering holes are no different than real pools and should be surrounded by a fence to keep young children away, safety experts say. And the water needs to be kept clean as well, necessitating pumps, filters and chemicals."As a whole, these are an unsafe product," said Donald Mays, senior director for product safety at Consumers Union, the publisher of Consumer Reports.
The magazine recently issued a safety alert about these pools, as did Good Housekeeping and the Insurance Information Institute, a trade group for the insurance industry.
Unlike kiddies pools, which are usually emptied after each use, supersize pools - a 12-by-20 pool, 4 feet high, can hold as much as 4,313 gallons - would be inconvenient to drain between swims. Many come with filters to encourage water retention. Safety officials say any pool not drained after each use - even those only 2 feet high - should be surrounded by a 4-foot fence with a self-closing gate. But that requirement would make these pools, which range in price from $50 to $750, cost-prohibitive.
"The inflatable pool has the same issue as any pool, and that is, it is an especially fatal attraction to young children," said Mark Ross, a spokesman for the Consumer Product Safety Commission. This summer, at the request of safety-standard-setting organization ASTM International, the commission staff held a meeting with safety advocates and manufacturers to discuss concerns and possible solutions. Retailers were invited but didn't show up.
"No one came up with a viable solution," said Mays, who is co-chairing an ASTM task force to see if voluntary industry safety standards can be developed. As much as price, the manufacturers stress the ease of setup. One brand, for example, is sold as the Family Quick Pool, another as Easy Set. No digging or sand is required, just level ground. Often sold with air pumps, these pools can be inflated within minutes, the packages all say.
In most stores, there are few, if any, cautionary notices that fences may be required by local laws. The pool manufacturers note that they put such advice on their packages. But a quick scan of several pool boxes shows that these warnings are typically at the bottom, in far smaller print than the promotional information.
For the 23rd straight year Mooreland will host an arts and crafts show.
The unique show, which occurs Saturday and Sunday, features artwork from students as well as craft booths from local artists. For the second straight year the Mooreland Arts Festival will have live music. This collection of art, crafts and music is what makes the Mooreland event different from others in Oklahoma and the rest of the country.
Organizer Bob Beatley said there used to be many more festivals in the area that featured both and art show and a craft sell, but they have been dying out.
He said that in 1986 the art department at Mooreland was in jeopardy of being cut in order to save some money. In order to save the department, Beatley had to come up with an idea that would promote to the community the virtues of Mooreland art students.
He decided to put on an art show, but was told there would be no budget for it. He learned of an art show in Okeene where students displayed their work and local crafters could come and sell their creations.
This idea became the base on which the Mooreland Arts Festival has become. Beatley said he rents booth space to crafters so that the festival can be paid for. He said there is a symbiotic relationship between students and crafters.
“The student’s show needs adult crafters to pay for the space,” he said, “while the adults need the kids to bring their parents so they can buy things.”
Beatley said the money received selling the booth space goes back into the show in the forms of judges and prizes.
Over 70 crafts booths will be present at the show. The craft sellers will take up two buildings at the Mooreland Fair Barn. There will also be vendors outside.
Five hundred pieces of artwork from high school and middle school students will be displayed. Some of the schools that have work in the show include: Mooreland, Guymon, Waynoka, Alva, Seiling, Shattuck, Cartoon, Turpin and Crosbyton, Texas.
Beatley said the 25 best art pieces from each high school and middle school will be on display at the festival.
In addition to the middle and high school art, there will be over 400 pieces of art from elementary school kids who entered a coloring contest.
Last year there were 10 groups who played music for festival goers. This year there will be 15 acts. Beatley said the goal is to have an act play every 30 minutes.
There will be three country music groups, a couple rock groups, a gospel choir, a few school dance teams and the Woodward Square Dancers will perform.
Besides music, art and crafts, there will also be food, door prizes and a silent auction.
The silent auction will consist of 25 items. Some of these include a 40 inch flat screen television and a new DVD player. There will also be memorabilia from the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, including pictures signed by the quarterbacks of each school, Sam Bradford and Zac Robinson.
An electronic flying insect trap along with graduation packets and pamper kits, which would make a good Mother’s Day gift, will also be available in the auction.
To ensure that there is something for everyone; Beatley said the kid’s area has been redone this year. There will be a reading corner where kids can read inside an inflatable castle. A station where kids will be taught how to make crafts like friendship bracelets will also be in the area. Puppeteers and storytellers round out the entertainment for kids.
The festival is free. It starts on Saturday at 9 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. On Sunday the festival opens at noon and closes at 6 p.m.
Inflatable games always are versatile to fit so many themes for the party or event. It provides amazing options for people to select, such as SpongeBob in western themes, Spiderman in pirate themes, batman in beach themes, sumo sport theme and any birthday party theme you can imagine.
Now, welcome to various inflatable games and enter into a make-believe world.
In inflatable fantasy world, Children will be temporarily away from the real world into a colorful fairy tale kingdom.
Sleeping Beauty Castle will bring kids to start their fairy journey.
