Egyptian actress Muna Zaki is preparing to film a new movie, “Lisa Faker” (I Still Remember), written by Wael Hamdi and directed by Mahmoud Kamel.

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Muna plays the role of a woman suffering from a mysterious illness causing sever memory loss.

Muna will also star in another new film, “Taymore and Shafiqa” alongside Ahmad Al Sakka. The romantic film, written by Tamer Habib and directed by Khaled Mar’ee, revolves around a couple’s journey to overcome obstacles to their relationship.

It is Muna’s second romantic film with Ahmad, the first being “Al Ishiq Wal Hawa” (Love and Romance).

Previously, a Cairo court overruled a decision to ban the screening of the television drama series “The Cinderella,” about the late Egyptian legend Soad Husni.

The controversial drama was written by Mamdouh Al Laithi and directed by Samir Saif.

The court first ruled in favor of ‘Al Adel Group’ and the heirs of Husni’s estate who asked the court to prohibit production of the drama.

Husni’s heirs argued that the events of the drama did not portray her accurately, and had warned producers and Muna, playing the role of Husni, to remove the inaccuracies from the script.

Egyptian producer Jamal Al Adel filed a lawsuit against the drama’s production company ‘Tareq Nour,’ claiming that he had reached an official agreement with Husni’s heirs to create a similar drama, and had even paid them three million Egyptian pounds in advance.

The cast includes Midhat Saleh, Tamer Habib, Sami Maghawri, Ghada Rajab, and Sherrie Adel.
