The Middle East’s Diva – Dubai, will be host to a unique event in the region; a festival of fashion, style and music, a place where trendsetters meet and where young people enjoy an extravagant, dynamic, and vibrant atmosphere.
Along with the exhibition of mega brands, the Ford fashion show arena, free music acts, the Motorola chillout lounge, make over zone, and daily competitions, Fusion 06 wants to create a dynamic and interactive debate on market trends and brand power as viewed by young people.
This blog is the space for you to tell us what you think, and to ask yourself questions that will help you understand your behavior, feelings, and perspective on fashion, trends, and style.
Have you ever wondered what defines your style? What attracts you to one brand over another? How important is fashion to you? What influences your buying decisions? What does what you wear say about you?
We plan to raise these questions, and more, on this blog, and to hear your thoughts on them. Fusion 06 is also host to a live debate ‘Style Talk’ to address these issues and where we will also share the comments posted on this blog
Keep stopping by, and don’t shy away from pondering, discussing with your friends, and sharing your reflections here.
Style defines who you are and what your personality is. My style is a mix and match of bargain hunts and different brands. I realise now, I'm not loyal to any brand. A style is unique, so break the mold & try to be different!

Hmmmm... I find myself loyal to Adidas when it comes to sports wear, and disliking Nike.. but I never understood why. I definitely like the advertising Adidas use... it's very creative, and has got distinct character. I'd be lying if I said it didn't affect me!

Hi everybody!Today i went to fusion and it's really awesome there, you can do make up for free, you can dance,do free hairstyle and even get a professional photoshot, I love fusion, there are many opportunities to have fun.
I love to follow fashion, but even in new fashion i like to choose my own style that will suit my personality so people around me can easily figure out what style i'm having. When i'm buying clothes anywhere i can guess by myself if it is convenient quality for me.i'm a boutique shopper,i love shopping in any average shops, were you can even find items in sale for upto 75%.

· How do you relate to the brands/labels you wear, what do you think it says about you as an individual?
A1. Well…frankly speaking , I prefer wearing clothes from splash , G2000 , Marks and Spencer and Nike. These brands not only reflect the kind of indiviual I am but also the way I carry myself in different moods and time. Clothes from splash are really colourful and trendy and make me feel a part of the so called fashion frenzied youth with amazing cuts and designs. I love wearinf formal attires and the best place I buy it is from G2000. It brings about that classy look in you which commands respect. Nike, brings out the sportsgirl in me and Marks and Spencer makes you look sophisticated with that tinge of a fashionista…
· Does advertising work on you, ie have you ever bought a piece of clothing or fashion accessory or technology gadget after reading or hearing an advert? If so what and how did the advert inspire you?
A2. Advertising has in great deal worked for me in cases wherein I was perplexed about a certain clothing range, accessories or even a gadget. I am an indiviual who gives great importance to my Hair. My mood partly depends on how I have maintained my hair. Since I have wavy hair , I saw this advert for a hair straightneing hair dryer which could straighten your hair just like they do in saloons…Man! Was I tempted to buy it. Although the advert was not that catchy or flashy , it described the product and its usage well, and thts how I got the product in my hands.
· What effect do your friends have on your buying decisions?
A3. My friends do have an impact on what kind of stuff I buy, but its usually ME or my Mom who decide , as I believe in not listening to others blindly but buying what suites me and my comfort level and who else knows that best , if not my mom or ME.
· Are you loyal to any particular brand and if so why? Which brands/labels work for you?
A4. Oh yes , I am loyal be it a brand of clothing or relations, but not a hard core one. I believe in changing my style with whatever comes in the market and if it matches with what I am looking for. Otherwise , I go in for Nike , Splash , G2000 and Marks and Spencer. These brands have the best of clothes that suit my interest and my personality.
· Do you generally save your money to buy a few expensive products/ high end products (FCUK, Diesel) or spend it often on cheaper/lower-end products (H&M)?
A5. It all depends on the product, if its worth saving for or not. But yes , If its something that I REALLY WANT, I’d rather go to my ATM and take money out or ask my Daddy dearest for the cash…because by the time I save it , the product would out of the shelf.
· Does visible 'branding' affect what you buy? ie Do you like others to know where your clothes are from-like brands such as DKNY, Addidas etc, or do you prefer that it's hidden - GAP, Topshop etc?
A6. Hmmm…who would not like if others ask them where they got their clothes from . Ofcourse I like the fact that others ask me about it and hey, I wouldn’t mind flaunting it , but in a limited way. I do like the concept but not so much that even when are not bothered , I go about telling it to them.

Simply, I would go for good prices and outfits that would reflect my personality in every way. I don't care for brand names... clothes are clothes... it's just what goes with your style and mood!!!
High prices... cheap prices... they are all going to the trash someday!!!
