....can we talk about this one please?

Ok, yesterday I wrote about 10 pages with the weirdest stuff ever in it but unfortunately, something didnt work out when saving it so you will never have the pleasure to read it. Sorry. Anyway, are there any businesspeople in here? Because I could do with some advice. It was a bad day for me. I work as a Sales Manager. In the past in our company many things went wrong. As I was in a different position and as it was a different Management, there was not much I had to say.

This has changed. But due to some old mistakes and errors in strategy, Customer left us and others were dissatisfied for various reasons. We managed to build that up again but then today I had to visit this retailers of ours. To get to his place it took me about 3 hours and 3 hours back. Airplane is not an option. I took all the hassle in charge to be told that as of today, they do not want to work with us anymore. He couldnt have told me that on the phone....I know why this has happened and I am obviously not happy about it but as mentioned, there were different strategies in certain peoples head.

What do you think about all that? We are still working on adjustments to websites, we travel a lot to aquire new accounts, we run the customer service department who is at its limit cause we have a lower headcount thatn we used to but still an awful lot of orders. Its seasonal in our company and November and December are the busiest months of the year.

I want to make a sales as our Figures in one country have to improve but it is the worst time of the year for that. Everybody at its limit, often out providing training to retailers, loads of phone calls, overtime and as we sell agendas, most companys would have bought theirs already.....I hope I can finish off my projects which will enable us to become more efficient and effective and then we shall have the time to expand. It is a great opportunity for me and it is a great pleasure to work on something that exciting.

Ok you want to know more about me then I guess otherwise you wouldn't have clicked on this topic.

So please, call me Andy! I live in Switzerland just 5 minutes away from the Rheinfall should you know this lovely place. As it happens, I am already 32 years old and if you look at me, you will probably have guessed it in the first place coz there ain't much hair left (at least I still got more than Kojak!) My wife and I have 4 amazing kids - they are 5, 4, 2 and 11 months old. I guess they keep us busy and there is always something going on but hey, who cares, we're all happy so we must be doing something ok.....

I work as a Sales Manager, have to travel 4 hours by train every day as the company I work for has moved its offices. But I actually enjoy the rides on the train: You can read a lot, do some work, listen to music, talk to all sorts of people, eat, drink - you name it. And by the time you get home you are all relaxed and can start to mess around with the kids which is brillant. I guess if you have responsibilities you are also more careful about changing jobs but thats not the reason why I am doing it - I enjoy the job I have. As I said, if you have anymore questions....please do not hesitate..... I wasnt going to write down the whole story now...
