Voter approval drops for Gibbons in newspaper poll LAS VEGAS—A newspaper poll says voter approval for Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons has dropped to 10 percent, while 57 percent view him unfavorably. The Las Vegas Review-Journal poll released Sunday said Gibbons'Air Pippen I numbers have dropped since state lawmakers finished the legislative session with Gibbons vetoing 48 bills—a state record. The Legislature overrode more than half the vetoes. The poll of 625 regular Nevada voters was conducted for the newspaper on Thursday and Friday. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points. In a similar poll in mid-May, the survey found that 17 percentcheap cigarettes of voters viewed Gibbons favorably, while 52 percent viewed him unfavorably.
