I just had a call from a guy who had found my site on the web and he had a question for me.

As a Christian what do you think of "The Law of Attraction" and "The Secret"?

Well as a Christian I look at what does God say?

I see the law of attraction at work through generational as well as environmental input in the lives of so many people. I have seen so often when people have gone through multiple relationships that there is a common denominator. They are more often than not drawn to partners with the same dysfunctional character traits.  Do a little digging and you will see the same dysfunctional character traits in the persons who had the most influence in their lives. Like it or not we are influenced by our environment.

Now on to the power of your mind and what comes out of it and how what we speak impacts our lives. I've often said if we could reprogram the data in the brain we could change the actions and reactions in our lives. Thus change direction and outcome!

Just look at Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

Here's another, Proverbs 23:7 "as a man thinks in his heart so is he..."

Matthew 12:33 "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks..."

What does God have to say about what we say and its impact on us and others? What about the impact of what is in our hearts and minds?
