I intentionally did not wish you a Merry Christmas, because Christmas is another story for another Posting at another time; and I do not wish you a Happy New Year, since I believe that ONLY FOOLS ARE, OR CAN BE, HAPPY ALL YEAR ROUND. I do, however, wish all of you A GOOD YEAR! With a little Good in one's life, one can be a little happy, which is all one can ask for in one's short sweet dream one calls a life-time. BY GOD AND SATAN!

SERIAL KILLER LOOSE IN CALIFORNIA – Does Investigators Mean To Invest In Alligators?

LOS ANGELES, California: Police detectives are looking for a serial killer believed to have killed at least 11 people over a 23-year period…DNA evidence and ballistics tests have convinced detectives that the same killer is connected to the slayings in Inglewood.

The victims were prostitutes and drug users who were sexually assaulted and then shot and dumped in alleyways or in dumpsters: large garbage hoist-able containers, or in plain English: large hoist-able dustbins.

The last killing, in January 2007, was tied exclusively to DNA analysis in another case – after 22 years. However, detectives have not been able to identify the killer through state or federal DNA databases of convicted felons.Authorities are still examining more than 50,000 inmates in state prisons for similar crimes, but not all of them have DNA profiles – Daniel: Painstaking work; like looking for half a needle in two haystacks.

One theory about the killings is the possibility that the killer served time in prison. Authorities are scouring files of inmates who were in prison serving time during periods of the killer's apparent inactivity. All of the victims were young African-American females except for one black male.

The first known slaying occurred in 1985: 29-year-old Debra Jackson was shot several times in the chest. Three years passed before detectives realised that the same weapon used to kill Debra was used in seven other killings.

In 1988, a woman was sexually assaulted and shot. She survived and gave police a vague description of the suspect. However, the description was not clear enough for authorities to be able to draw a composite sketch.

Those cases went cold until detectives connected three additional murders since 2002; based primarily on recently developed DNA technology.

Authorities had preserved fluid samples of DNA the killer left behind in earlier killings and found conclusive similarities in fluids found on the bodies of three victims, including the most recent slaying from 2007. Dozens of suspects were also ruled out. Investigators are examining the possibility that the killer has left California and has committed crimes in other parts – states – in the USA. Daniel: Investigators!? JEEZ! I hope they don’t think that means: to invest in alligators!
