Dear Readers and Fellow-Apes; 2008 was a Murky and Hapless Year! Let us hope that 2009 does not turn out to be even  More Murky and Hapless!

I intentionally did not wish you a Merry Christmas, because Christmas is another story for another Posting at another time; and I do not wish you a Happy New Year, since I believe that ONLY FOOLS ARE, OR CAN BE, HAPPY ALL YEAR ROUND. I do, however, wish all of you A GOOD YEAR! With a little Good in one's life, one can be a little happy, which is all one can ask for in one's short sweet dream one calls a life-time. BY GOD AND SATAN!

A Jack of many trades and master of all; I am honest to the core and I hate lies, deceits, pretensions, hypocrisy, treachery, betrayal, and stoic compliance; and I despise – and actually pity – Human-Apes who follow-the-herd-or-pack

I expose and reveal the lies, deceits, pretensions, hypocrisy, treachery, betrayal, and blind, deaf, and stoic compliance, and Human-Apes who follow-the-herd-or-pack; I tell or write the truth; and I say what I mean and mean what I say

I fear nothing; least of all, death

If I must fear anything at all in life, then let me fear what I think and  know of myself; because, in the end, one’s knowledge and opinion of oneself is what counts most. All the world may think and believe one is such and such, but one knows one is such and such. Also, I like to look in the mirror and like what I see and know about me.

I invite comments, remarks, criticisms, and even insults – so long as they are straight to the point, in order for me to correct or adjust myself accordingly. What I do not welcome and won’t accept or tolerate is HORSE-SHIT!

Dear readers and felow-Apes; with every page, every report or article, every paragraph, every sentence, every word, and every letter; I thank you for taking the trouble and the time to read My Not-So-Humble Comments.

KSA FEMALE DRIVERS BAN TO WAN SOON – Arab Female Bane to Wane Soon

Ban on Female Drivers in Saudi Arabia May be Eroding

FOX-NEWS (AP) via Yahoo! News Thursday 21st August 2008

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: A 20-year-old university student's father and two brothers were badly burned in a fire, so she had no choice but to break Saudi Arabia's ban on women drivers to get them to a clinic. Using the driving skills her father had taught her on the family farm, she managed to reach the emergency entrance without a hitch.

However, when she pulled up, a crowd of people surrounded the car and stared as if they had seen an extraterrestrial being. Also, instead of focusing on the burn victims, the nurses kept asking her if she had driven them there. I ASK YOU!

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that bans all women – both citizens and foreigners – from driving. The prohibition forces families to hire live-in drivers, and women who cannot afford the $300-$400 a month for a driver must rely on male relatives to drive them to work, to school, for shopping, or to the doctor’s, Etc. Daniel: Dear readers and fellow-Apes; do you see the Jackass-Joke and the Irrational-Irony in it? I ASK YOU AGAIN! They won’t trust their well-educated and highly intelligent women and girls to drive – whether alone, or with their fellow-female-Apes – but they will expose them to the whims and quirks of live-in drivers or male relatives – if not, in fact, place them at their mercy; whereas most rape and sexual-molestation crimes are committed by parents, family members, and relatives. Who and what is to say that the live-in drivers do not connive with the women and girls in their sprees and adventures for a share of the goodies and/or money? Have you read my postings: 139 / 324?

The young girl’s story was first published in one of the biggest Saudi newspapers, Al-Riyadh, which even called her brave. Her father praised his daughter's action from his hospital bed and asked why such an act should be such a big deal, since his daughter used her filial instincts, made the right decision, used her initiative, and did the right thing at the right time – and the joke and the irony were: she could drive quite well.

She is one of several women whose driving made the headlines. It is not clear whether the reports are a sign that more women are driving or that newspapers are just more willing to report about them. In either case, it suggests the long-unquestioned nature of the ban is eroding.

That may be, in part, because of signals from King Abdullah, a reformist, who said the issue is a social one, not religious – opening the door for society to spur change.

Previously, women who spoke out against the ban paid heavily. In November 1990, when U.S. troops were in Saudi Arabia following Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, some 50 women drove family cars in an anti-ban protest. They were jailed for a day, their passports were confiscated, and they lost their jobs. The reaction was so harsh that lifting the ban was barely broached again until recently.

Recent media reports have highlighted women driving not as organised protests, but out of necessity or just a desire to be behind the wheel. 5 women were briefly detained in separate incidents across the kingdom.

One was a 47-year-old woman detained by the religious police after they had received calls from Saudis who had seen her drive repeatedly in the eastern city of Qatif, said a member of the Commission for the Promotion of Vice and the Prevention of Virtue.

Another was arrested in the central city of Buraida while driving to pick up her husband from a car show. She was released after her husband had promised that his wife would not do it again.

Last month, two women died while driving. One, in her 20s, was speeding in a family car when she hit an electricity pole in Riyadh. The second, in her 70s, died in a collision with another car in the northern region of Hail. Daniel: These incidents are irrelevant, since hundreds of men and boys die in daily accidents in the Kingdom of Sorry Ass-holes.

Supporters of ending the ban on female drivers point out that the prohibition exists neither in law, nor in Islam. There is no written Saudi law banning women from driving; only fatwas or edicts issued by senior clerics that are enforced by the religious police. No major Islamic clerics outside the country call for such a ban.

Conservatives say women at the wheel create situations for sinful temptation. They argue that women drivers will be free to leave home alone, will unduly expose their eyes while driving and will interact with male strangers, such as traffic police and mechanics. Daniel: SUCH HORSE-SHIT WITHOUT THE HORSE! Who is there in the vehicle to see whether the women and girls expose their eyes and their asses to their live-in male drivers or male relatives? It's like asking a fox to protect the chickens from foxes, or asking a wolf to protect the sheep from wolves. I ASK YOU ONE MORE TIME!

Many Saudi women own cars and have driver's licenses from countries where they studied or lived. Some, like the 20-year-old English major, learnt to drive in remote desert areas, where practicality outweighs ideology and it is acceptable for women and girls to drive tractors and water-tankers, or even cars for short distances.

Her father, 50, an airport inspector, said he taught his wife and four daughters to drive so they could cope in an emergency. He said he even gave them rudimentary tests – by placing tree branches on the roads to make them more narrow and winding – to make sure they could drive and park on difficult roads.

Last September, a group of women formed the Committee of Demanders of Women's Right to Drive Cars to lobby for the right to get behind the wheel, and collected more than 3,000 signatures. They sent two petitions to King Abdullah.

To mark Women's Day in March, a member of the committee posted a video of herself, driving in the Eastern province, on a popular website. Surprisingly, the government did not try to stop the group from collecting signatures or punish her for her bold move.

She said that, that was an encouraging sign and that she believed that women would start driving by the end of the year, since they had moved forward since last year and there was more awareness and discussion of the matter.

At the hospital where her father and brothers were being treated for leg burns, the 20-year-old young woman described her 10-minute drive through the streets of Riyadh. She said she wasn’t nervous and that her dream was to own and drive her favourite car – a pink Ferrari JEEZ – because she loved the noise it made.

All the way to the hospital and back, and all the time, she was covered from head to foot in the traditional Islamic hijab and niqab – the black aluminium foil that covers nature’s own lollipop. I wonder how they knew she was who and what she was!

BITCH? Well, WHY NOT?

Every woman or girl is a BITCH at heart and in her loins – down below there where all her feelings and emotions gather and combine and burst forth.

It all depends on WHOM she wants to be a BITCH for and/or to.
