I intentionally did not wish you a Merry Christmas, because Christmas is another story for another Posting at another time; and I do not wish you a Happy New Year, since I believe that ONLY FOOLS ARE, OR CAN BE, HAPPY ALL YEAR ROUND. I do, however, wish all of you A GOOD YEAR! With a little Good in one's life, one can be a little happy, which is all one can ask for in one's short sweet dream one calls a life-time. BY GOD AND SATAN!

FEMALE MUTILATIONS – Such horrors being perpetrated on girls – Poor Women and Girls; Deprived of Desire and the Pleasure of Sex in Marriage, but Burdened with the Pain and Risk of Death in Birth

YEMEN: Government body moves to stem female genital mutilation and cutting-outs

SANAA: The Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood (SCMC), a government body, has drawn up a national action plan to end the practice of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) in Yemen. As a first step, the plan – the first of its kind in Yemen – aims to reduce FGM/C prevalence by 30% by 2012. Daniel: REDUCE!? This is highly typical of Arabs, Arab-speaking, and Arab-minded peoples to wallow in the quagmire of false conceptions and false laws and rules that are chiseled into their brains from birth to death – they cannot go back, and they do not want to go forward – and heinous and hideous cruelty out of pathetic illiteracy and ignorance!

A 1997 demographic survey found that 23% of women and girls had been subjected to FGM/C, including 69% in coastal areas; 15% in mountainous areas; and 5% in desert and highland areas, but according to a new unpublished study presented at a workshop held in June, with 65 participants representing UN agencies, the government, donors and civil societies – FGM/C is practised in 5 of 21 Yemen Governorates: Al-Hudeidah: 97.3%; Hadhramaut: 97.3%; Al-Mahrah: 96.5%; Aden: 82.2%; and Sanaa: 45.5%.

Prepared jointly by the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), Sanaa University's Gender Development Research Centre (GDRSC), and the Yemeni Women's Union; the study identified four types of FGM/C, as per the World Health Organisation classifications.

The most common was Type 2: partial or total removal of the clitoris and the Labia-Minora, and/or the excision of the Labia-Majora – found in 83% of cases studied. The least common is Type 1: partial or total removal of the clitoris and/or the prepuce – found in 13% of cases. Daniel: 4 Types were mentioned but only 2 were described.

According to the plan, the Health Ministry would introduce bylaws, codes of conduct, and anti-FGM/C policies: all forms of FGM/C would be banned; it would be covered in school curriculums; and messages and warnings against it would be spread by the media and community leaders; and religious leaders would detach it from religion.

Health professionals would take an oath not to practice it; adolescents and children would participate in spreading awareness of the dangers of it; religious leaders would discourage and disparage it; media campaigns would be carried out in communities still practising it; and focal points would be established at governorate levels. Daniel: Health professionals! Doctors! BY GOD! Doctors would excise their own mothers’ or sisters’ clitorises, or their whole reproductive organs, and amputate any of their limbs, too, for good measure, if the price were right. It reminds me of part of a song by Lord Kitchener: Say what you like, it is my belief; that every policeman is a thief. I, Daniel, would say: Every policeman is a thief, every doctor is dishonest, every lawyer is a liar, and every politician is a pest.
The Woman executive director of GDRSC said FGM/C was attributed to religious and cultural traditions which are nowhere to be found in the Holy Qur’an or any of Islam’s Holy Books. They think FGM/C will ensure a woman's chastity and keep her from sin.

Daniel: On the contrary; since her main and most important and necessary instrument or tool of feeling and pleasure is lacking, she has to do too much to feel too little! Such illiteracy and ignorance! Any elementary school-girl or school-boy knows that. JEEZ!
She said 99% of FGM/C cases were carried out 7-10 days after birth – the same for male circumcision – but that there were often health complications: FGM/C leads to bleeding as the genital organs contain blood vessels. A lot of women said they lost their daughters during FGM/C, but deaths at home are not registered. In 2001, the Ministry of Health banned FGM/C from being performed in private and public health facilities.

Daniel: It is easy to ban anything as horrible as that, but who is to enforce the ban – especially among such backward brain-washed barbaric APES? I ASK YOU!
