Dear Readers and Fellow-Apes; 2008 was a Murky and Hapless Year! Let us hope that 2009 does not turn out to be even More Murky and Hapless!
I intentionally did not wish you a Merry Christmas, because Christmas is another story for another Posting at another time; and I do not wish you a Happy New Year, since I believe that ONLY FOOLS ARE, OR CAN BE, HAPPY ALL YEAR ROUND. I do, however, wish all of you A GOOD YEAR! With a little Good in one's life, one can be a little happy, which is all one can ask for in one's short sweet dream one calls a life-time. BY GOD AND SATAN!
A Jack of many trades and master of all; I am honest to the core and I hate lies, deceits, pretensions, hypocrisy, treachery, betrayal, and stoic compliance; and I despise – and actually pity – Human-Apes who follow-the-herd-or-pack
I expose and reveal the lies, deceits, pretensions, hypocrisy, treachery, betrayal, and blind, deaf, and stoic compliance, and Human-Apes who follow-the-herd-or-pack; I tell or write the truth; and I say what I mean and mean what I sayI fear nothing; least of all, death
If I must fear anything at all in life, then let me fear what I think and know of myself; because, in the end, one’s knowledge and opinion of oneself is what counts most. All the world may think and believe one is such and such, but one knows one is such and such. Also, I like to look in the mirror and like what I see and know about me.
I invite comments, remarks, criticisms, and even insults – so long as they are straight to the point, in order for me to correct or adjust myself accordingly. What I do not welcome and won’t accept or tolerate is HORSE-SHIT!
Dear readers and felow-Apes; with every page, every report or article, every paragraph, every sentence, every word, and every letter; I thank you for taking the trouble and the time to read My Not-So-Humble Comments.
BBC-News Monday 4th August 2008 / The Guardian Tuesday 5th August 2008
One report stated that BG Muhammad Suleiman dealt with defence and security matters in Bashar’s private office but Israeli and Syrian opposition sources claimed he worked as the liaison officer with the Lebanese Terrorist Militia, Hezballah, that represents the State of Iran in the State of Lebanon, that is supposed to be Israel’s alone enemy, but which is also actually Lebanon’s and the ordinary Lebanese people’s arch-enemy.
Syria's tightly controlled and muffled media did not report on the killing, but Syrian sources confirmed that Brigadier-General Mohammed Suleiman was shot four times in the head and neck by a weapon with a silencer attached to it on Friday on a beach at the al-Rimal al-Zahabiyeh resort near Tartous where, like other privileged high-ranking Syrian Big-Shots (or Big-Shits) he owned, or was given gratis, a chalet.
Daniel: four bullets in the head and neck; that sounds like an execution and not an assassination. No sniper could possibly hit a man from any reasonable distance four times in the head and neck. Not all of us are Etc, and so forth and so on; also, he was buried overnight – quick and clean, and no one saw or heard anything; or else – just as the Covert Nuclear Plant Building was cleared up and cleaned up immediately after Israel had bombed it; and the site of Imad Mughniyeh’s murder – smack in the middle of Damascus, and practically next door to Syria’s Moukhabarat’s headquarters – was cleared up and cleaned up, and hushed up, too; and just as the site of Rafiq Harriri’s murder was cleared up and cleaned up, and covered up and smoothed out, in less than two hours after he’d been brutally butchered; and just as…etc and so forth and so on
The Teheran Times quoted independent but informed sources as claiming that the sniper was an Israeli. Israel declined to confirm or deny any connection with the killing, but Israeli sources suggested that the ongoing indirect peace-talks between Israel and Syria indicated that, that was unlikely. Daniel: Such Horse-shit; independent but informed indeed; but by whom? In Iran, independence does not exist in the political and social dictionary of daily normal life so, in this context, independent must mean selected and informed must mean, or can only mean, informed by Kahamenei and Ahmadinejad.
The Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, was in Iran, holding talks with Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and Iran’s President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, over Tehran's nuclear programme and relations between the two regional allies and Hezballah, when his trusted aide and security adviser was buried on Sunday, but senior figures, including Bashar's brother, Maher, the head of the presidential guard, were present at the funeral in the heartland of the Alawite sect that dominates the regime.
Daniel: First, how very convenient for Bashar that his visit to Iran and later to Turkey coincided with the burial of BG Mohammed Suleiman – his trusted aide, security adviser, liaison officer (Hezballah), point of contact and shake-up artist (Syrian army); second, now, I know that all of you, or most of you, out there might be confused at this point because The Tehran Times stated that BG Mohammed Suleiman was buried overnight, but the above paragraph indicates he was buried on Sunday. Dear readers and fellow-Apes; don’t be surprised or confused. That is typical of the muffled moron media. Also, in Syria, the tightly controlled and muffled moron media show and print only what they are ordered or allowed to show and print; obvious and simple.
N.B: Turkish Prime Minister, Tayyip Erdogan, met Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad, on Tuesday (5th August) at the Aegean resort town of Bodrum in southern Turkey. The two were expected to discuss the Turkish-mediated indirect Syria-Israel peace talks and Iran's nuclear row.
If Hezballah commander’s (Imad Mughniyeh’s) murder was a huge embarrassment to the Damascus regime, this will be an even bigger and worse embarrassment. At the time (soon after) Hezballah accused Israel's Mossad Secret Service of the assassination but the results of the Syrian investigations have never been disclosed – Daniel: They’ll never be disclosed now, since the one man who knows all about it is dead.
Speculations galore: Suleiman acted as Assad's point or means of contact with the army and helped oversee a shake-up of the security services in the weeks leading up to his death, so one distinct possibility is that the killing may have been an internal settling of scores. A Syrian with high-level contacts inside the regime linked it to a power struggle between Assad and his military intelligence chief, Assef Shawkat, which was set off by Mughniyeh’s murder.
A Damascus-based political analyst tied Suleiman's assassination to strains over Syria's relations with Iran and Syria's indirect talks with Israel. The major issue now facing Syria is its relationship with Iran and Hezballah and how it can reconcile that with talking Peace with Israel to regain lands she lost during the foolish Arab’s futile war against Israel. There could be a power struggle going on in Syria and it most probably concerned Iran. In a nut-shell: people like BG Mohammed Suleiman or the late Imad Mughniyeh, or Ghazi Kenaan, do not get killed – especially in Syria – unless something big was going on.
In October 2005, Syria's former security chief in Lebanon, Ghazi Kenaan, was found dead in his office. Damascus said he committed suicide – Daniel: he had two bullets in his head, and no he couldn’t have shot himself twice – impossible – so he must have been murdered; I know not a few people who knew Ghazi, and they would tell you that he wasn’t the sort of man who would commit suicide. Not all of us are Etc and so forth and so on……again
In early 2006, another veteran of the old guard, the former vice-president of Syria, Abdel Halim Khaddam, broke off with the Assad regime and went into exile in Paris, from where he openly accused the president of ordering Hariri's assassination.
A Sheikh, who is a leading member of the Syrian Democratic Coalition, which is an opposition group, claimed that Suleiman was killed to prevent him from talking about his involvement in Harriri’s murder.
Daniel: Summary: Syria! Syria is a country, and countries do not instigate or support terrorism, or assassinate anyone! Only regimes or systems do. Bashar Al-Assad has travelled a long and very nasty road, filled with corpses, the maimed and traumatized, and ruins; and he is now trying to pull himself out of it all – like a single hair from dough – by burning his bridges, getting rid of, or eliminating, any that may pose as threats, wiping his tracks, and tying loose ends; meanwhile he is walking a loose and dangling high-wire across a huge chasm over a river full of crocodiles between Syria and Israel, and the IC, with Hezballah, Hamas, and especially Iran, screaming and shouting at him while pushing and pulling at the wire – forcing it to sway and vibrate – and with no safety net below.
He would have to be Houdini and Merlin combined to come out of it all in one piece – still alive, with no broken bones!
The moral of it all is: I, Daniel in The Lion’s Den, say to one and all and sundry – the Syrian people and especially the Lebanese people; and everybody and every country involved and/or concerned: Bashar Al-Assad is already in deep shit up to his ears, and goading a wild boar, when it’s wounded and cornered, is the last thing anyone would want to do, because wild boars are most dangerous and vicious when they are wounded and cornered! This guy could and would cause a lot of trouble and create a hell of a mess before he goes down, so let it go, let well alone, and let bygones be bygones.
Also, never blame a donkey for braying, farting, and kicking; and never hate a dog for sniffing asses, and barking and biting; especially when the donkey is surrounded by donkeys and the dog is surrounded by dogs – my humble apologies to dogs, because I had a dog once, when I was very young – and the wisdom to be learnt from it all is: Of what use is a donkey that cannot bray or fart or kick; or a dog that doesn't sniff or bark or bite?
