DUBAI: According to a video entitled “Jihad and Martyrdom” that had been released overnight on Islamist Internet websites, Osama Bin Ladin offered to fight Saddam Hussein and his invading goons.
The second part of the video shows how Osama Bin Ladin told the Saudi Royal Family that his mujahadeens could be used against the regime of Saddam Hussein, to fight the Iraqi troops that had invaded Kuwait in 1990, in order to prevent American troops from opening military bases in Saudi Arabia. Osama Bin Ladin intended to unite all the mujahadeen to drive the invaders out of Kuwait, but Saudi Arabia prevented him from acting and allowed the Americans to enter the country.
According to the video, Bin Ladin had on several occasions warned against Saddam Hussein's desire for expansion and had predicted that Saddam would invade Kuwait, but no one listened to him. The video also referred to the 1992 American mission in Somalia known as Operation Restore Hope; Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the attacks carried out by Somali militias against US troops in Baidoa, Ogaden, and Mogadishu, and went on to describe the preparation that went into the 1998 bombings of the US Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and the decision by Bin Ladin's men to return to Afghanistan following US pressure on the Sudanese government.
My comments: Osama Bin Ladin and his mad-murderous-merciless-mujahadeens might have driven Saddam’s goons out of Kuwait via Saudi Arabia, BUT! Who could or would have driven them out of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia – and Iraq – after they had done the deed which would have cost Kuwait and Saudi Arabia – and Iraq, too, to boot – billions of dollars, millions of lives, and only God and his partner-in-crime, Satan, know how much carnage and devastation?
Those of you out there who know the story about the Bedouin and his camel would know exactly what Osama Shit-Bin Shit-Laden Ladin was trying to do.
The Bedouin had camped for the night in the desert. He was asleep in his tent, and his camel was tethered outside. First, the camel begged the Bedouin to allow it to put its nose inside the tent to keep it warm. The Bedouin agreed. Next, the camel begged the Bedouin to allow it to put its head inside. The fool agreed again. Then, the camel begged the Bedouin to allow it to put its forelegs inside. The fool agreed yet again. Then, the camel begged the Bedouin to allow it to fully enter the tent and sleep quietly in a corner. The fool agreed one more time. Not much later, things got too crowded and awkward for both the Bedouin and his camel, so the camel kicked the Bedouin out of the tent!
