THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND

WE THOUGHT THEY’D NEVER END

At this point in time Lebanon needs a father-figure and a peace-maker – so to speak – someone who will act as a negotiator or a go-between and as a calming agent, or a soothing balm, or a pain reliever; someone who will pour oil, or lay himself down like a bridge, over troubled waters; someone who will unite and not divide; and not someone like the present President – the Hermit Baboon – who adds insults when and where there are injuries, and crude salt to gaping wounds; who pours petrol when and where there is the smallest fire or flame, and incites and invites The Speaker of The house to accompany him as he crosses the red line to join and lead The Opposition!

WHO EVER HEARD OF A COUNTRY IN WHICH THE OPPOSITION IS LED BY THE PRESIDENT AND THE SPEAKER?

Ludicrous, ridiculous, and preposterous! Never in the history of Mankind – The APES!

ALL OUR LEADERS AND POLITICIANS HAVE THEIR PASTS – EACH ONE’S WORSE THAN THE OTHER’S IN HIS/HER OWN SPECIAL WAY – BUT AOUN’S PAST IS THE WORST! EVEN HIS PRESENT, WHICH WILL SOON BECOME AN EVEN MORE OBNOXIOUS PAST THAN ALL HIS PREVIOUS PASTS!

WE RECALL THE PAST TO LEARN FROM IT, AND NOT TO WALLOW IN IT LIKE BUFFALOES IN MUD!

HOWEVER, THERE ARE THOSE THAT STILL CLING AND HOLD ON TO THE PAST FOR DEAR LIFE, FOR FEAR THEY MIGHT FALL INTO THE FUTURE.

Those were the times when one had to either play the Syrian game or else – especially since The USA and her Allies, and The IC, The UN, and the whole Arab League Nations had connived with, and condoned, Syria’s presence and influence in Lebanon.

What was one to do at times like those? It was simple: YOU DID; OR YOU DIED; so each did what each had to do in order to survive.

Many didn’t, and many died.

That was then; this is now.

Today, it’s different. They all have a choice, today, unlike the past when and where one HAD TO DO OR DIE.

The government and all the pro-government side – spare a thought and a prayer for all our Martyrs and especially for our beloved Lebanese Army – CHOSE TO DO AND DIE FOR LEBANON!

AND! And BUT! THERE ARE THOSE THAT CHOSE TO DO AND DIE FOR SYRIA AND IRAN OUT OF VANITY, GREED, AND EGOISM, THROUGH, AND BY MEANS OF, TREASON, TREACHERY AND BETRAYAL – MOSTLY OUT OF FEAR AND ANXIETY OF REPRISAL!

SO ENOUGH HORSE-SHIT AND LET'S HAVE THE HORSE!

Not all of us are Etc, and so forth and so on.
