Introducing myself.

acrophobia | 13 November, 2005 21:57

Username: Acrophobia

Real name: -prefer not to say-

Age: 24

Gender: Male (I wish I was a female)

Astrological Sign: Cancer

Occupation: I do everything around here.

Location: Home

Favourite music: Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Dido, Meiko Kaji, Ace of Base (I dont care what you think) and I'm just discovering the 'Rum Group'.

Favourite Books: The Quran by Allah, from Babel to Dragomans by Bernard Lewis, Deception Point by Dan Brown, just to name a few.

Favourite Fantasy artist: Luis Royo.

Favourite Computer Games: Deus Ex 1, World of Warcraft, Heroes of Might and Magic, Etherlords, Larry Leisure Suit 7 (yeah baby!)

Favourite Movies: Sin City, Kill Bill 1, City of Angels, Requiem for a Dream, just to name some.

About me: I have an attitude and I know that, my attitude prevents me from caring about what people think about my attitude which is the main point of an attitude anyway.

I'm a pacifist in reality but on the net, oh sweet jebus, you can easily mistake me for one of those nutcase terrorists or right wing evangelical christians, I despise both so if you are one of them I advice you to say away from me.

I despise Bush Wobbly Brush, Capitalists, Communists, prostitutes, Arab governments, prostitutes (did I already say that?) and most importantly Zionists.

I have a weird case of acrophobia, I always dream that I'm falling from the office's balcony, I end waking up and not able to go back to sleep again, kinda sucks, doesn't it?

I LOVE sweet and sour food.

I believe that God is a lesbian for creating women so beautiful, or that he is a very mean guy.

I stopped smoking 2 months ago and if I can do it then anyone can, I'm starting to develop an allergy towards cigarette smoke which isn't very good because almost all the people I know are smokers even my little brother, that bitch, he is at the same age at which I started smoking so I can't say a word to him, uuuurrrrggggg.

Oh, I'm addicted to filtered coffee, too bad there isn't a machine in the office :(

anyway, I wish you all the best of luck and may you be touched by his noodly appendages, Ramen!

Forgot to mention that I'm a Netiquette Nazi, I do not tolerate people who don't behave in cyber space, they get a whip *wink*

netiquette nazi.

Hey!

I loved "Requiem for a Dream", it displayed this other side of a reality that most people dont know about. Scary, in a way. But true...

And I like the fact that you admit you have an attitude. I wonder if I have attitude - maybe sometimes. Or, I think that I deny it to myself that I actually do have attitude! Couldnt tell!

I'm just not too sure about your comment: "I believe that God is a lesbian for creating women so beautiful, or that he is a very mean guy."
If the Quran by Allah was one of your favourite books....maybe you should be more respectful towards God?
As you are familiar, women were created with a drastic variation of characteristics.....so women in general are not all so beautiful (I feel like i'm getting lost in what i'm saying!)....
Anyway, I would appreciate it if you would rephrase that comment you made!

By the way, there is a meaning to your dreams.....I looked it up in Ibn Sireen's dream interpretation book....I'll tell you its possible meanings later.....

I forgot to ask....WHY do you wish that you were female? (I secretly tend to wish that i was male, OCCASIONALLY!) - guess it has something to do with growing up in the ARAB world...

well Amorphous, I always use the comment about God being a lesbian to see how people react, sadly we have reached a point where we don't tolerate the slightest remark about anything we believe in, if an arab says that 'Ma2loobeh' is a dish from heaven then someone disagrees, all hell will break loose.
I wish to be a female because then I will look cool being a geeky girl instead of a geeky guy, hehehe.
I'm serious.

I see.... [Reply]

Well Acrophobia,

There's a saying: "One man's meat is another man's poison!", and I absolutely have to agree with whoever came up with that!

I am open-minded about others' expressions and thoughts, but I can't stand contradictions....thats why I was being intolerant. Stating that your favourite book is the Quran by ALLAH, and then claiming that you think that HE is a lesbian makes two different statements.

I see where you're getting at with that....but still, I think that you can make your point using other statements or metaphors. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Why would you want to look like a geeky girl instead of a geeky guy? I think that no matter what, in this age that we're in, the geeky looking guy is always more likely to find more potential in his life - regardless of his looks.
Or am I justifying it too superficially and in a very Arab-thinking way? (God, its really getting to me!)

its contradiction according to your definition, just because I have a 'different' relationship with Allah doesn't mean I'm wrong or that I love him less that you do *wink*

Ok.....I still insist that I am open-minded about others' expressions and thoughts: I "demand" an explanation to what you mean about this "different" relationship you have with Allah!

I am interested in the way you look at it. And ofcourse, I am in no place to judge anyone's relationship with Allah, and I'm not the Statistics judge for the "who loves Allah more" game.

I always find the God-Man relationship very intriguing. Subhan Allah, every person has his/her own way in it.

Acrophobia, in this day and age, you no longer have to dream of being in the body of the opposite sex. I dare you to do it! And I don't mind chipping in for the op.

I suppose we all have gender bending moments: http://blogs.albawaba.com/Dr.Winkle/2559/2005/11/30/2727-getting_away_with_it
