Trust

acrophobia | 22 October, 2005 18:50

You can't trust an israeli. You can't trust a government owned by israelis. The israeli in the ground? Him you can trust. But stick a pitchfork through him a few times, just to make sure.

There is a saying in Israel which goes like that: "A good Arab is a dead Arab". Some people actually take that seriously.

The question which I have to ask - is it every Israeli, or just the Jewish of them? What about the Druz?

its about the Zionists who believe in god's 'covenant' people and their biblical promised land.
Aren't the Druz part of the shiite? will need to check on that.

Zionist? [Reply]

So, are authentic Muslims then Zionists (acc. to the above definition: who believe in a covenant giving Jews the land of Israel)?

Qur’ân V. 20-21:
And [remember] when Moses said to his people: "O my people, call in remembrance the favour of God unto you, when he produced prophets among you, made you kings, and gave to you what He had not given to any other among the peoples. O my people, enter the Holy Land which God has assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."

Qur’ân XVII. 104:
And thereafter We said to the Children of Israel: "Dwell securely in the Promised Land." And when the last warning will come to pass, we will gather you together in a mingled crowd.

Definition of Zionist? [Reply]

According to the Cambridge online Dictionary, it quotes that:

Zionism is a political movement which had as its original aim the creation of a country for Jewish people, and which now works to help the development of Israel.

A Jew is defined as: a member of a race of people whose traditional religion is Judaism.

I believe that Zionism and Judaism should not be creamed together. A Jew is not necessarily a Zionist.

Israelis are citizens of Israel; thus, they include Arab (Muslims, Druz, Christians, etc.) and Jews.

By the way, Druz are not Muslims - they just claim to be. Actually, I know this Druz person who goes to church (i'm not sure why). And the only time a person (or strictly, MAN) will know anything about his religion is when he turns 40!
